Vote for change

Since you're at my blog, you must be interested in change... Please, what ideas do you have for making Cleburne a better place to live, whether in the present or in the future?
I see economic development going after family oriented entertainment with a heavy emphasis on school age youth... What do you think? The teens need better options than being chased from one parking lot to another by well-meaning police officers who are only doing their job. Okay what are your thoughts? I know you have some, so let's hear them...

Caring Enough To Get Involved

A question came up today... Why run for Mayor? Well it's certainly not the pay... (non-paid position) In my case, I truly believe I can make a difference by challenging my fellow citizens to become more accountable... And by helping to make City government more 'Family Centric'. I need your vote...

Waiting to Exit...

I have talked to literally hundreds of Cleburne youth including eight of my own during my twenty plus years of volunteering to work with them. One thing they all have in common is when they grow up they want to live somewhere else. If I had a dime for every time I've heard "There's nothing to do in Cleburne", I'd be a rich man, or so the saying goes. I personally don't relish the idea of raising quality young people and watching them go off to enhance some other city. Topic for discussion: Do you agree with them that there is nothing to do in Cleburne? and if you were Mayor, what would you do to reverse their thinking on this subject?
